The biggest difference between PPTP VPN and OpenVPN is you need install OpenVPN client software to use OpenVPN service, and OpenVPN DO NOT work on mobile devices such as Iphone, Ipad Windows Mobile and Android. But OpenVPN works on Windows, Mac and Linux.
